I’m a painter and illustrator based in San Francisco, currently painting my way around Europe and Turkey.

Constantly floored by nature, I like to toast the moments that cause me to look up and slow down. I paint them to remind myself how a place felt and how the natural world and the human-made world are connected. 

 

I show my paintings regularly around the Bay Area in galleries and open studios. Three shops, one in Berkeley and two in San Francisco, show my prints and original paintings year round.

 

And my new love is to collaborate on illustration projects. In 2020, I illustrated The Best Women’s Travel Writing (volume 12)—an anthology of 35 true stories from women around the world.

Living in Sicily for a month and a half, I've been trying to capture the textures and colors of the unique landscapes, cityscapes, and skyscapes of Catania and the towns around Mount Etna. I'm hooked. 

 

I would love the opportunity to be an artist in residence at Isola so I could experience more of Catania and the network of creative people who live in the city. I would also love the opportunity to have an exhibition and/or collaborate with other artists, writers, or people who want to co-create and explore ideas through art.
